Social Media Lead

We’re hiring a Social Media Lead to improve our engagement with our fans, and to help bring our games and stories to new audiences.

Our flagship apps - Zombies, Run! and The Walk – combine innovative real-world interaction and gameplay with captivating audio stories and design. In short, we make exercising fun with audio.

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented, highly-organised, self-starting individual who’s ready to take the next step. You’ll be working across all our existing and new products, and in particular, Zombies, Run! You should have multiple years of experience working in social media, directly creating high quality content and engaging with established online communities.

This is a fully-remote, part-time position for 24 hours/week. You can be located anywhere, but must be able to overlap with at least 9am to 12pm UK time.

Our pay range is £30,000 to £34,000 pro rata (i.e. £18,000 to £20,400), dependant on experience.

About You

  • Have experience and knowledge across a mix of social media channels (especially Twitter, Instagram and Facebook)
  • Have great copywriting skills
  • Think strategically, understand social media strategies and are able to identify viral content/trends
  • Can engage with our followers and respond to comments and DM while keeping a friendly and humorous tone

We are especially keen to hear from you if you:

  • Are from a community that is historically under-represented in media industries
  • Are proficient in using industry-standard tools to create original art and video content and/or adapt existing art and video assets
  • Have professional experience of engaging and managing influencers and creators.
  • Have experience of community engagement with a vibrant, well-established group

What the job is going to be like

Primary Responsibilities

You will be joining our Production team, working alongside our Head of Production and Art Department connecting with our users and fan community to provide a fun, safe and inclusive online experience.

You will be responsible for:

  • Creating content for our Social Media channels, including copywriting and the creation / assembling of art and video assets
  • Liaising with our with artists and the Production team on social media artwork, copy, and videos
  • Devising a wider social media strategy
  • Leading weekly social media meetings
  • Scheduling content in Buffer
  • Managing competitions and giveaways
  • Sharing community content via retweets and Instagram stories
  • Responding to comments and DMs where appropriate
  • Organising and promoting live online events (e.g. Instagram, YouTube, Twitch) with actors and staff
  • Maintaining a friendly, humorous and safe space for community members at all times

Additional Responsibilities

We believe there's always room to improve how we work, and the quality of the content we release. All members of the production team regularly:

  • Consult on our existing processes and how they can be improved
  • Take part in discussions about representation and equality in our content
